Thanks for all the reponse to my issue. I didn't realize I was such an ignorant homeowner. I do have another concern about the partial claim....can the interest rate be changed when they offered the partial claim? From what I understand, I am not paying back the PC til the loan is paid off or until I no longer own the property? The increase on my mortgage payment is due to the fact that I have a shortage in my escrow account? Will my payments be reduced when my escrow has a positive balance? Thanks....
