Success with second mortgage! Fifth Third Bank called this morning and said I qualified for the modification. The mod drops the interest from 9.15 to 5%. It will lower the payment from 477.71 to 233.07 for the remaining life of the loan. The paperwork will be UPS to me for signature.
Looks like I'll have some reading to do come Monday. Was also told that since I sent in the partial payment this month, all I have to do is send in the papers before the end of the month.
If NACA comes through with the first mortgage at
CW, I should be able to stay here. I might even be making it if I can get my disability back! I'll have time anyway.
