Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | My Story in Arizona I have been told by my job that I have to take 15 weeks off unpaid throughout the rest of the year. Looking at my finances it is mathematically impossible for me to keep making my house payment and pay my other bills. I am current on my mortgage and have never been late. This is what I have done. Feb 2nd I called CW and explained my situation and they took my information and told me to fax some information. CW told me that someone would be in contact with me within 30 days. Feb 4th I wrote a hardship letter, got 2 paycheck stub from both incomes, and 2 months of bank statements. I faxed all this to the HOPE department at CW. Feb 27 I called CW to see what the status of my hardship was. They told me that it would take between 30 and 60 days. Mar 3rd I called again to see if I could find out the process. They passed me around the phone until I asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor told me that I was denied and a letter was sent on Feb 5th. I have yet to recieve this letter. I asked what the letter said and they couldn't tell me. They went into my file and told me that according to what I made and what my bills were I should be able to make my house payment. I explained that I had to take 15 weeks off unpaid and it would be impossible for me to keep making the payment, they said that CW couldn't help me because I was current. March 10th I called to see if I would qualify under the "new" housing help bill. CW told me that I had to be 96.5% to 105% LTV and I was 109% and therefore I would not qualify. I am asking them for help and they won't help me. I have 17 years left @ 5.5 fixed and I asked them if they could move my loan out to 30 years and they said no. I also asked if I they would take $1000 off each payment for the rest of the year and tack it on the end of the loan and they said no. I don't know what else to do. Does anyone have any suggestions? My current loan is 417,000 @ 5.5 fixed 20 years. I owe 380,000 and have 17 yrs left. I have a 2nd for 67,000 HELOC. |
