I understand what you are saying. I do know that they are trying to protect their investment. I call them twice a week, though, and each time they ask me if I am occupying the home, and twice a week I tell them yes. It makes sense to me that if someone defaults on a mortgage, they should do these inspections. But I would think a homeowner who is working as hard as they possibly can to get a modification and is keeping in constant contact with them (making it CLEAR that they want to keep the house) should not be charged fees every single month for these drive-by's. I do know that is in my loan documents for them to do so, it is just frustrating.
