We have recently received modification with Chase/Freddie Mac. I originally applied end of October and it took until mid January for them to give us an offer....we stayed current till then. Once they gave us an offer they told me not to make January and February payments... they basically roll them into the back of the loan, no late fees or anything like that. They also assured me the credit will be corrected once modification goes through.
