Re: Countrywide modification papers signed but now I have terrible credit score, and unemployed

Update: Really don't care if I sell this home in a short sale or it goes into foreclosure and I file for BK. The latter is the sensible option.

Reading the article on the New Hamphsire couple I saw the B of A Countrywide advert for helping homeowners and wondered why they can't do what they say.

Call us at 1-800-669-6607 to find out if you’re eligible.

Here's how we can help.
Our goal is to help keep you in your home. If you think you might fall behind on your payments or have already missed a payment, our specialists will work with you to determine your eligibility for one or more of these potential solutions:
  • Refinancing
  • Extending the term of the loan
  • Interest rate reductions
  • Temporarily freezing monthly mortgage payments
  • Extended repayment schedules
  • Decreasing the principal balance of the loan
Would have stopped alot of pain. To tell the truth, I have no faith in any institution; or Corp. And this minor setback for us all will change the way we save, and spend our monies in the future. I am looking to get through this by a ten year outlook and restore my credit and move on.
