Loan Modification for recently employed?

Hi all, I am new to the site I registered. I am so happy to see that I am not alone. I am scared and I want to keep my home.

Countrywide:

My situation and question...... I was layed off in February of this year, I used my savings to pay for my home and other expenses up until September. I was recently employed, but at half of my normal income. I have fallen behind 2 months on mortgage payments. I spoke with a rep. this morning, and she stated that I qualify for the Nationwide Homeowner Retention Program and that I will be receiving a letter in the mail by the end of the month. (I'm not sure what this means) She said her computer was down so I would have to call back to get more detailed information on the program.

One note: When I gave her my income and expenses. She stated that when they attempt to qualify you for a loan modification, they like to see that you at least have $150.00 positive income at the end of the month!!
