| help with replies I, too, would like feedback on a hardship letter I have written. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. To Whom It May Concern: I am writing to explain the unfortunate set of circumstances that led to the delinquency on my mortgage. When my loan application was reviewed and approved, I was working to supplement my disability income. Shortly after applying for the loan, my second income pretty much ceased. I struggled to make the payments, and filed Chapter 13 bankruptcy in 2007, reaffirming my mortgage with Wells Fargo. In February of this year, I called the number given by the government for assistance (1-888-995-HOPE). After reviewing my income and expenses, I was advised to stop making mortgage payments, and walk away from the debt. Since that time, I have started working again. I am starting to get back on my feet financially; however, I cannot afford the increased payments of the adjustable rate mortgage. I am asking if there is any way that I can save my home. I have reached out for assistance from the Neighborhood Housing Services of Toledo. I am “pinching pennies” and looking for additional work. A fixed rate and my delinquency tacked on to the end of my note would mean I could stay in the house I love so much. I am anxious to hear from you and truly hope you will consider working with me on this matter. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely |
