Quick update:
SO last night after I posted here, I got another random collections call from WAMU- I dont get why I still get them periodically- havent made a payment since April- anyway I was talking to the woman who was very nice and helpful, I explained everything that has and hasnt happened- no contact- and she said she would email the person assigned to our loan to contact me asap.
Well......sure enough, first thing this morning the woman I have been trying to reach almost daily for over 3 weeks called me. I was at work and she left a voicemail saying the papers were recieved and sent for a negotiator to be assigned, but she doesnt see that one has been assigned yet and she doesnt know why. She apologized for the lack of contact and said she is going to stay on top of it and expects someone to be assigned in the next 24-48 hours and to be expecting a call.
So, at least I have heard something- just cant figure out why the hell it took an email from collections when I have called almost daily just asking if she even ever got the docs!
Will keep you updated.....meanwhile I prepare for what could be my last Christmas in my home of 18 years............
