This is my story with ASC:
America's Servicing Company -- Success Story!
The important thing is to CALL THEM. KEEP calling them. If you are denied once, call again.. and again... until you find someone nice that can tell you why you are denied. Some of the ASC people are nice and *WILL* work out numbers with you so you can be pre-approved for loan mod.
***, please correct me if I am wrong, but I think this person got denied for pre-approval. I don't think ASC even bothered to assign a negotiator to his/her case yet and deal with the investor.
There are TWO different group of ART in ASC. There is the ART group who takes your information and does the pre-approval (based on your income and other numbers) and the REAL ART group who works out a payment plan, assign negotiator, and ask for good faith payments etc with you. The first ART team are actually customer services/collections wearing a different hat. Once you get pre-approved then you get to talk to the REAL ART group.
I heard they changed their telephone system a bit recently... But try to call the ART numebr that *** listed. That is the actually ART group that you want to work with (and they are generally nicer). If they want to transfer you back out, BEG, NEG, CRY... do whatever to have them work out your paperwork with you. They are much more experienced in handling loan mod works.
Hope this helps.
