| Re: Citi Mortgage and Citi Financial Special Contact Information They show me with a surplus...should I not be showing a surplus to get them to work with me? (They didn't ask for anything other household bills and we do have medical bills monthly...one son on meds for ADHD, daughter's orthodontist, and other son was in the PICU in July for a severe concussion that we have bills from)
Our interest rate with citi is currently 13%. If we could get them to help us catch up the two payments we are behind and drop the rate a bit, we would have more of a cushion so that when things happen it doesn't force us not to pay a bill. (i.e. hot water heater we had to replace in Feb., $400 in school registration fees in May, $200 school supplies in August, etc., that we have to pay also) We can afford to live on the one income. It is tight, but we can...and have no choice with the job market the way it is. Countrywide is giving us some breathing room. It would be nice if Citi would try to work with us also. We can afford our home. (I didn't work when we got our home loans either) But when the slightest thing happens, we have no choice but to get behind. We don't have the money to "save for a rainy day." If our payment with Citi was lowered a bit, we probably could so that this doesn't happen again. |
