Well now it looks like they are paying a little attention to you. I would still take a moment and fill out the expense report on your own. Remember the industry standard is $200-$300. If you look like you could afford the mortgage as is, then they may tell you to budget your money better and deny you. Minimize the risk. Now you have their number and you can call them back so you're not blind sided. The lender will reach out to the borrower by various methods so the door hanger is not uncommon. When you call the mod dept. again, ask what city and state are they in to make sure you are secured. good luck. |
