Thank you to all of the members who have commented on this topic. I really appreciate it. Basically, what it boils down to is my continuing to bug them until they help us somehow (I hope). Anyway, my biggest concern at the moment is getting our account into that whole "suspense" thing since we can't afford the newly adjusted payment and anything we send in until the suspense deal starts is only going to be considered a partial payment with all of the lovely ensuing collection issues.
Here's another question: Once the account is in suspense mode, since it's apparently taking up to 6 months to get this stuff reviewed and resolved, will they start foreclosure proceedings since we won't be able to make the adjusted payment? I really am hoping that we'll be in a holding pattern and not subject to that stressful situation. Anyone out there know anything about that?
