Thanks AZowner. I am still in hardship but things have improved since I first started defaulting on my loan last December. I am finally caught up enough that starting this month, if I were to really stretch my budget and only allow about 75 for gas and groceries, I could make the current payment. I don't know how feasible it would be for me to make the current payments on an ongoing basis.

The only thing that they've offerred me is a repayment plan that would increase my current payment in addition to tacking on another $650 or so for the next 7 months.
