My story with TB&W and BOA

It all started in 09/07 when I became disabled after over 30yrs as a R.N. My income dropped from $65,000.00 to $23,000.00 a year. I got 7 payments behind and after much work TB&W did a loan mod 01/09. I tried everywhere to get the H4H plan, wasn't out there. Even worked with a HUD counseling agency who could no good with TB&W. So a legal aide attorney got TB&W to do this loan mod, it was a self defeating modification, they took all I owed and put it on the back of the loan, dropped my interest rate from 6.25% to 6.00% and raised my payment $17, by the way I have a FHA loan secured by Ginnie Mae. Well I told the mitagation officer that they were just setting me up for default again because I simply could not afford $1217 monthly, and by 4/09 I could no longer pay them. I'm raising my 2 grandchildren now or otherwise I would just have walked away! So by the time TB&W got shut down I was already 5 months behind. So finally BOA sent my the welcome package and I called them and told them my story. The lady named Ann Cordova was very nice and told me I qualified for the MHA program, but that was no guarantee I would get it. So I submitted the paperwork she wanted and she said I would either get a Fed-x with my new loan papers or a denial within 45-60days. I submitted on 09/10/09 and called them 3 days later, they stated they got the paperwork and it was being sent to a reviewer. Of course they wanted money, but I said I would rather wait to send any so if they tell us to move we have something to move with. I also ask if they used food stamps as income and they said no. So I am just praying and waiting to hear. I'm really underwater thanks to TB&W putting what I owed them on the end of the loan, and now what I am behind too, totals about $35,000.00. Per the HUD counseling agency I may qualify for the "rescue fund" of $5000.00 to help with owed monies. MHA is coming to Cincinnati for a home foreclosure preventative meeting and some banks will be there, including BOA and face to face interviews will be set up for clients like myself, hope it happens soon. You may call in to the phonathon 10/14-10/17 and the number is 1-800-7buzzus and you will be sceduled to a orientation meeting and then set up with your lender rep from there. Will keep you informed how things turn out! Thanks for being here to listen!!
