(Source: BoNhia Lee The Fresno Bee (MCT) — A foreclosure assistance and recovery workshop held at the Fresno Convention Center last month attracted more than 110 families from across the central San Joaquin Valley.
Rep. Jim Costa, D-Fresno, local housing agencies and other partners sponsored the free event where homeowners met with bank mortgage specialists and housing counselors.
Workshops attendees were able to get information about refinancing their mortgage loans and getting loan modifications, Costa’s communications office said. They did not know how many people were able to get modifications.
