Bank of America Opens Two Nevada Homeowner Outreach Centers

NEVADA (LoanSafe.org) – Bank of America has stepped up to the mortgage plate for Nevada homeowners at the request of Senator Harry Reid. Yesterday, BofA officially opened two homeowner outreach centers in Reno and Las Vegas to assist borrowers who are having trouble with their mortgages.

These two Nevada homeowner centers will make a total of three to help with the state’s growing foreclosure crisis. The first outreach center opened in Henderson on June 1st, and a toll-free mortgage phone line was set up at the beginning of this month.

Senator Harry Reid had met with Bank of America CEO, Brian Moynihan last month to discuss solutions to help local homeowners. It was in that meeting where Moynihan promised Reid that BofA would open outreach centers to assist struggling Nevada borrowers. Thus far, the CEO has made good on his mortgage promise.

“I am glad to see Bank of America follow through with its promise to provide assistance for Nevadans who are struggling to stay above water,” Reid said. “I met with Brian Moynihan in May, and so far he’s delivered on everything he promised me. While one month of improved service is a good start, it’s not yet enough. Bank of America must sustain its efforts as we emerge from the housing crisis that has devastated Nevada.”

Bank of America is encouraging Nevada homeowners who are struggling with their BofA mortgage to call (877) 345-6416 in order to schedule a live in person appointment at anyone of the three BofA centers, or to discuss your situation with a homeownership retention specialist about their account. The Nevada phone line is operated between 5 a.m. and 9 p.m., Monday through Friday. Appointments are available from 10 am to 7 pm, weekdays. You must have an appointment because they are currently not set up for walk-ins.

The new homeowner center servicing Reno is located at 695 Sierra Rose Dr. The Las Vegas office location is at 6900 Westcliff Dr. The Henderson center is at 2285 Corporate Circle, Suite 100.
