2009: Hawaii Had a Total of 9k Foreclosure Filings

According to statistics, the small state of Hawaii had about three times more foreclosure filings in 2009 than it did in 2008.

There have been a total of 9,002 properties in Hawaii that have foreclosure filings attached to them, including notices of default, bank repossessions, and foreclosure auctions.

This means that in Hawaii one in every fifty-six homes has had foreclosure filings against them.
